Dear Mr Chocola. My reason for writing to you is in hopes that you can help me to bring my pregnant wife to the United States to be with me. I had a friend tell me when you were in office that with your help he was able to bring his wife from the Philippines to the United States in a matter of weeks rather than months. Here is my story. I went to the Philippines May of this year 2009 at which time my wife and i were married. I had to return because my work is here in the United States. My wife and i currently have a I-130 petition pending in California as of June 21,2009. Hr here is the problem. It is taking USCIS 5 months to process the I-130 petition which would put my wifes pregnancy around November making her 7 months. The longer she in into her pregnancy the more difficult it is to locate a flight that will allow her to board. We want to be together as soon as possible because this is a one time event for us because of our age so we can share it together.

I had a friend tell me when you were in office that with your help he was able to bring his wife from the Philippines to the United States in a matter of weeks rather than months. Here is my story. I went to the Philippines May of this year 2009 at which time my wife and I were married. I had to return home because my work is here in the United States. My wife and I currently have a I-130 petition pending with USCIS in California as of June 21,2009. This is the receipt number: WAC-09-265-15067 from the 1-797C,Notice of Action that USCIS sent me. Here are the concerns of my wife and I. It is taking USCIS 5 months to process the I-130 petition putting my wifes pregnancy around November making her 7 months and that is providing there are no mistakes on the documents which would push the date back even further. The doctor estimated conception around the first of May and her due date around February 6th 2010. The longer she in into her pregnancy the more difficult it is to locate a flight that will allow her to board. We want to be together as soon as possible because this is a one time event for us because of our age that we do not want to pass us by. Its a chance for us to become even closer and not just in the physical sense. I want to be able to care for her and help her throughout her pregnancy. I am also planning on going into delivery with her. The other problem, she is covered on my medical insurance where i work however because she is still located in the Philippines i was told we would need to pay the medical cost with our out of pocket expense and then seek reinbursement where as if she were here only the deductible would need to be met. We are not rich and should she have any complications hopefully she will not the cost could be even higher. Hoping you can help. Tim Legg
